Some well know characters were influence by old films for example superman got influenced by Hercules.

There was also influence from the film freshman on the character Harold Lloyd which helped inspire the character Clark Kent. Bat man and superman also got influenced by the mark of zorro where the character hid there identify. 

 

Different ways that contemporary superhero films have shown the influence of historic superhero films is that the hero has something bad happen to them for example batman's parent. This makes the character want to seek justice. Also the villains colour scheme for the jocker and the look has stayed somewhat the same throughout all the films.

The difference between the historic and contemporary superhero films is in the early days of bat man and robin it was more comedic and used cartoons as effects. Compared to the newer batman films where there a lot darker and have a more serious atmosphere. The effects in the newer films have better effects and CGI.

 

The origin story is how the character got their powers and why they choose to get justice and fight as a superhero. Its important as it helps the audience understand the character which can help you understand why the character is int the situation of becoming a superhero.

 

What Kermode means about assembling a team is when there's separate superhero's that must come together and work together to stop something bad happening. Its different from a heist movie which is a crime film where there's a group of robbers.

 

What I have learnt is how films have adapted through the years and are made to target that time for example how they use animation in Batman and Robin as it was the same time as Andy Warhol. I have also learnt how many of the superhero films have been influenced by many old films. Watching this video will help me with my own creative ideas as it shows how superhero films are made and how the story's and films are made. Its also shows how well looking back at older films can inspire you to make your own characters and films.
