What are you being asked to do for this project?
What we are being asked to do is to make a 30second to 60second video for stone pillow which is a charity for homeless people. The video needs to be aimed at 16-18yearolds or 8-11yearold.
Why are we doing this project now? Why not earlier in the year?
We are doing the project because we have used premiere pro before so we are a bit more experienced in using the software.
Why are you researching music videos and effects? How will this help your film for Stone Pillow?
I am researching music videos and effects to understand how and what music video may be a good style/design for the stone pillow video. It will also help influence me and get ideas to make a video that appeals to my target audience. I have been specifically looking at Cole Bennet and how he uses sketches to make the music videos more interesting.
Why have Stone Pillow requested that you use the influence of music videos like Lyrical Lemonade?
They have requested that we use the influence of videos like lyrical lemonade as its very modern and different. It also appeals the target market that I need to aim the video on stone pillow.
How will the project help you learn new skills for industry?
This project will help me learn new skills for the industry by learning how to use after effects and it also helps me practice how to create a

What is your final idea?
My final idea is to have the video focused on a teddy bear who gets dropped by a person and is left on its own on the street.
How will you depict homelessness?
A teddy bear will represent a person who is homeless.
How will you communicate Stone Pillow’s work?
At the end it will show the teddy going to stone pillow.
How will this project extend your existing skills?
It will extent my exciting skills by helping improving my video editing skills and maybe learning how to use after effects. Also learning how to add sketches into videos.
How long will it last?
It will last between the times of 30 to 60 seconds.
Who is the intended audience?
The intended audience for the stone pillow video is 6 to 11 year olds.
How will your idea target the audience?
I will target my audience by using a teddy to represent a person and can somewhat relate as children loose teddy’s and feel upset about it.
How is the idea similar to existing media that the audience already likes?
There was a video that I found when researching other charity adverts/videos and I found one for dogs trust when a human is represented as a human version of a stuffed teddy

Contextual Awareness
How does my Stone Pillow project refer to issues in the real world?
It refers to issues of the real world but showing abandonment and being left alone. And also the hate and judgement that comes with being homeless.
How have you chosen to represent the issue of homelessness?
We have chosen to represent a person through a teddy and showing how teddy’s get lost when kids drop it to help make it easier for young children to understand better.
How have homeless people been represented in the media and in films?
They have been lots of negative stereotyping on homeless people in the films and media. Although In A Street Cat Named Bob it does subvert the stereotypes of homelessness as it is a true story and first hand view of being homeless.
What is society’s view of homeless people?
Society's view is quite negative on homeless people. Some people think that there faking being homeless to get free money. There's also a stereotype that the are homeless due to dugs of alcohol addictions.
How can homeless people be stereotyped?
They can be stereotyped very negatively.
How has your own work been informed by looking at existing charity promo films, ie for Shelter, Children in need, Women’s Aid?
I have looked at other charity's videos to see how they show the statistics and information and how they make awareness.
