What can be improved?
The things that could have been improved in my wix website would be to maybe add a video on the home page to make the website a lot more interactive which, would make it a lot more interesting for the user which would draw them into the the website. It would also make it a lot clearer on what the website is about. I also would have wanted to add a some more animations to the text for example as you scroll down it slowly appears. I also need to improve my about page as there still isn’t much on it. Although I have added a gallery I need to add more interactive elements for example moving text or maybe a video. I also maybe could have added a back button on each page to make it easier for the user to just go back to the page before instead of having to go back to the beginning.
What is most successful?
The most successful things about my website would be that there are a lot of buttons that link you too a lot of the pages. I also liked the layout of the buttons and how they were easy to find and access. I also liked how the video’s of the trailers were on each of the spotlight pages to make it moreinteracting for the audience to help them see what films we were watching.
How effectively have you added interactive elements to your Wix?
I think that I have been a bit effective in making my wix more interactive. For example I have made a page with each of the stages having a button which links you to the stages and more buttons linking to each of the project. This makes the website slightly more interactive and easier to view each of the pages. I do think that I would have need to add more interactive elements to the website for example adding a video to the home page or adding more animations to the text.
How have you been influenced by research into other websites and interactive products?
I have been influenced by research into other websites by the layout of the websites and how they make it easier to get the user around the website. I have also been influence by how the text is animated to make it more interesting. I have seen many other interactive elements where they have used a sketch outline on a person and as you scroll down actual images of the product go onto the sketch and as you scroll down again it’s an image of a person wearing the product matching to the outline of the sketch. It makes it a lot more interactive and interesting to view the product that the website is selling which can create more customers to view the website. Although I wasn’t able do do anything like that it did inspire me to make a more interactive/stylish website.
How will making the Wix cross-platform enable you to reach a wider audience?
Making the wix cross platform website will enable me to reach a wider audience by making people more interested in looking at the website. It will also make it easier for them to get around the website. It can also help with getting a wider audience as they might share or talk about the website to more people. It will also help reach a wider audience as it will be easier to use and certain things. Also the trailers of the films in the spotlight can appeal to a young adult audience as they might be interested in watching the films.
