context/planning production

My look book is for 16-18 year old students. My Look Book idea is to film it outdoors as my target market likes nature it will have different setting to make it interesting and engaging.

My Look Book will target this audience by having the videos filmed outside as this was the most popular choice. It will slow and fast pace as that’s what my target market voted on and it will be informal and relaxed. The most popular music voted by my target audience was pop although, I want to see what type of music works with the videos. The camera work will be rough for example the zoom in with be abrupt.

Target Market statement

I have chosen the theme of outdoor/ woodland. This is suitable for my specified audience because when doing a questionnaire I found that this was the most voted theme.

I am using the locations to film my look book at bridge the river and e block.

I am using research to help improve my look book and make it appeal to my target market (16-18 years old).

I am doing the following to learn premiere pro and camera; looking online at tutorials on websites and tutorials on you tube.

I am using reflection to help evaluative how my work is going at each stage.

The skills I am learning relates to my future career plans because it relates to media and learning skills in filming and premiere pro.

Brief

My look book is aimed at 17 year old's both male and female which are students which live in the south of England.

They engage with fashion advertising not too regularly but encounter it through Instagram and video adverts on YouTube or the TV.

The different types of media they use are social media for example Instagram and media on the TV and websites. They are also quite confident in using a range of media.

They are fairly interested in fashion and other interests  which include the outdoors and they are also quite creative.

For general adverts they like it to be informal and entertaining and somewhat related to the outdoors.

Not all data will be relevant for example music might not be.

Audience Statement

Story board represents the shots.

It doesn't need to be that realistic it just needs to be clear.

People that normally story board in the media industry are the directors and ciniemaphotographers.

The director refers to the story board throughout the film/video.

A wide shot shows a long distance away from the focus point. It creates a different look to the film.

A close up shows the subjects space very close.

Arrows inside a story board is the subject moving. Arrows outside the shot is the camera moving.

Story boards are useful to show what you want in your film.

Another way of laying out a story board was done by Stanly Kubik where he used actual images of the scene behind the story board.

Story board for look book

This story board was a basic sketch of what my look book may have looked like. I have made a few mistakes for example I was meant to put the arrows on the outside of the box instead of inside as this is the way to show how a camera moves.

From this story board to the filming process it has changed a bit.
