How have you made the work relevant to the audience?

I have targeted the audience by making the magazine both informed and entertained and I found from my target audience they like both.

 

How has my product development been informed by secondary research?

I have looked up many magazines in the same theme ( running) online to look at the layout, design and what the magazine includes although I have also had to look at teenage magazines and the theme of my magazine (running) doesn’t have any magazines really aimed at my target audience.

 

How has the product development been informed by practical research?

Using the research, I have made my double page spread a lot more informal as this was more popular. I also made my double page spread an interview as this was quite a popular choice that they like in a magazine.

 

How have I responded to mistakes and problems?

I have responded to mistakes and problems by improving the mistake I have made by undoing the move and looking at how I made the mistake. For example, if I have been given peer feedback, I will look at the feedback and make the improvements.

 

I also had problems with making the numbers inline as I had to make sure each number in the shape was in the center. There was also a problem with making sure the shapes were equally inline and spaced out right.

 

Which creative software did I use? What were the pros and cons of each software?

The creative software that I have used are Photoshop and InDesign. The pros of Photoshop are that you could change the image and adapt it easily. The negative is that I didn’t know much about it. The positive about InDesign is that it’s really good at making magazines but the negative is that I didn’t know much about it.

 

How have I used software to develop your work?

I have used the software to improve the look of the images and to make them a lot more contrasting. I have also used the software to add shapes and designs to the magazine.

 

What tools and processes I you used?

It my magazine I have inserted imaged into shapes I have added images onto a page changed the number of pages there are and changed the look of the image using different techniques.

How was this influenced by analysing artists’ work?

I didn’t really use any of the designs used by the artists we researched.

 

What problems did you have? How did you solve them?

The problems I have faced is trying to figure out how to only have one double page spread rather than two. To solve this, I will research ways to stop this and look up tutorials on YouTube.

 

In order to improve, what extra research do you need to complete?

I can compare different stages of my magazine and see what magazine layout and design the audience prefers.

 

Peer feedback: what aspects are strongest in the magazine?

Peer feedback- they like the pastel colors and the design.

   

Which aspects are weakest?

The range of colour in the magazine. I also don't really like the font in the double page spread and like it to have a different style.

I don't particularly like the front cover as i don't really like the image that i have used or the layout although i have tried to make it work.
